Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
  2. In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour, rolled oats, salt, and baking powder
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, honey, vegetable oil, and egg
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined
  5. Grease a loaf pan and pour the batter into it
  6. Smooth the top with a spatula
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
  9. Slice and serve as desired
