Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Steps

  1. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit
  2. Scoop the avocado flesh into a blender
  3. Add cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or syrup
  6. Transfer the mousse into serving bowls or cups
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes
  8. Serve chilled, optionally topped with fresh berries or nuts
