A quick and easy pasta dish with succulent shrimp in a garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Steps
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente
- Drain and set aside
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet
- Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant
- Add shrimp to the skillet
- Season with salt and pepper
- Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes
- Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the shrimp and garlic butter
- Mix in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning if needed
- Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top if desired
